      Hey, techy Swordies!

      Posted this on of.forums but no one's there to help :(

      Can smne please help me fine-tune GW2 graphics? I see a lot of screenies where the game looks like a masterpiece, but I can't achieve such quality on my own. Can't even get anywhere near that.

      My system is a bit old but generally ok:
      - i5 3470
      - GTX660Ti
      - 8Gb RAM
      - GW2 runs off SSD
      - I have NVIDIA inspector and can install any other software if necessary.

      I'd be glad to award anyone's time and efforts with a memorable in-game item and/or some gold :thumbsup:

      EDIT: WOW, fine Matt.

      The question is, how well do you want the game to run? a lot of people enjoy 30 fps, but some also find 10-20 playable.

      Considering you're already running off a SSD, texture loading/Loading screens probably take like a second or so.

      First of all, try making sure you're graphics drivers are up to date:

      As that page also suggests, set your settings to autodetect, and then set things such as player model quality to medium etc.

      From then on, you'll find tweaking the settings on your own can be beneficial.

      @Matt I see you have the game in fullscreen windowed, for some reason I can't play that at all because it get's so dark I can't see a damn thing :( (something to do with my monitor I presume, and gamma is untunable in windowed mode ;(). Otherwise I have similar settings to yours but it doesn't look like it on my end at all..
      @Fleshcutter afaik my drivers get autoupdated because I have an official NVIDIA demon app that checks for updates on it's own. I've noticed that updates mainly aim at new games support, though, so not sure if anything new comes in for GW2, anyway.

      Thought you tech-savvy masterminds could, maybe, help me tweak it using any 3rd party software?

      There are guaranteed people who would not be happy with my FPS though. That SS is sitting in Vigil Keep. It gets more choppy in big world events and large WvW battles but it is still fairly smooth and enough for me (never payed attention to actual FPS, but guessing it is still 2-digit, apart from maybe massive 3-way blob v blob, can check tonight if/when I am online)

      WIndowed fullscreen I only use due to dual monitors, make AFK slacking so much more enjoyable

      My puter screen is 33'' and I can get 1920x1020 resolution. I noticed when I came back for the GvG that on the smaller screen my resolution was 1320~ by something or other and the screenshots and video quality dropped dramatically. The settings you have on your computer should reach the same quality in video and screenshots as my computer. I think it may be dependant on screen resolution as well...?
