      SWD having an official youtube channel

      I spoke to a few members about this before and got no reply back about the idea so i was hoping for an discussion here whether or not you all like the idea.

      so hence the subject name yes sword getting its own YouTube channel it will have the sword emblem for a logo and SWD header image on the forums as the channel art i can also attach a link to the twitter and make it look professional however the one thing this channel will lack is a good intro (outro is covered) to the videos so if anyone has experience with this or knows some one well enough to create one for us if they can send it via dropbox to me.

      benefits from this:

      * Each SWD member that currently has YouTube channels and posts SWD related videos can have a link attached to there channel on each uploaded video to YouTube this benefits them growing there own channel so people can view more related material and another thing for Shas to grow his twitch.tv via adding a link to his twitch channel (hold the twitch idea in case of spies tho so needs me more thought in this area)

      * SWD becoming more known for it self and after speaking to a wide audience outside of SWD people back on UW will like to see life over here at piken and the sort of stuff it is we are doing.

      * SWD can watch all the awesome moments we have had throughout our time :)

      I also want to add the videos wont consist audio if you guys don't want that which is perfectly understandable so i can just mute the audio and play music for the duration off videos.

      and any more benefits you guys can think off.

      so let me know what you all think and i ll be happy to put something together for you all reason why i say me is that my brother has a full license of fraps and a current YouTube channel which is fine and hes got experience of editing and now he will be upgrading his rig for better quality and hes just ordered a decent editing software to add the more professional touch to the channel.

      I personally like the idea, but don't rush it and give us some time. Council might have something to say about this in the doomsayer. The twitter and other things are registered on the @swordsofunderworld.com e-mail domain and the youtube should be too due to account recovery possibilities.

      I'm very positive for the youtube channel too ! I think it would be nice to have all our interesting videos (hope we will have interesting videos :P) gathered up in one channel, cause until now everyone was uploading videos on their accounts and i can't keep track of all of them.....

      Personally also i would prefer for the clips thta might would be posted to be max
      30mins not longer nobody is going tl rewatch a 2 hour recording and if we are not going to put up teamspeak in the vids fill.it in with nice music.
      Just check like the VII vids on the forums.
      Also i would like the intro jayne used evertime at a start of the vid.

      Hey, i ll be the one mainly doing all management of the channel such as video recording and editing as well as posting the new content but the main email management will be just for the council leaders and anyone else wanting to post. Ive just got a really good editing software today need to get use to it however ive been experimenting and all is good. I am creating the SWD outro background i will attach a pic off it much later to see if you all like it and i will leave it as that so i don't get to carried away if this idea is turned down.

      in regards to what you said so far...

      The videos can have a max length of 30 mins or less (good idea tourna)
      i like the look of jaynes intro an i need an intro so this is already sorted thanks again tourna.
      hence already stated above i believe tal is correct and we should already use the swd email instead of a new one for account recovery.

      Ultimate are you also going to record ? What you going to use for it because i know for afact uru and other members have alot of experience with recording so be sure to ask them.

      i also have a lot of experience because i have my own channel which has a lot of good content on and i ll mainly upload any GvG or Raids we go on, reset nights and any fights that occur which are remarkable but not only that others also have permission to upload there content also, so it wont be just me uploading on it, it will make it more of a SWD thing not my own.

      as the account will be regged using a @swordsofunderworld.com email addy anyone that wants to put his (quality) content there can ask the Council for access on it.

      The idea is that Warlord is an experienced youtube publisher and can therefore help with a lot of the things necessary to run the channel smoothly and to make it look professional. I think that when we arrive on consensus about what are the minimum requirements for the content to be published on the official channel, we can use his experience to make it all look and act pretty!

      hey Tal, i really appreciate what you said it really means a lot also i wanted to make this youtube channel to help SWD grow and become the best it can be as well as the stuff evil previously mentioned and to be apart of that growth would mean a lot to me and the rest of the members in SWD in my opinion.

      finally i would like to show you all in a private video soon of the outro ive been working on today to show you all what i can do. :)
